When you hear STEM and its meaning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, We can't deny that we presumed that STEM is hard just by hearing its meaning. As a STEM student, I will share ten words that are typically used in this strand.

1. Science

The first word that came to my sanity is science. Even from the meaning of STEM itself, the STEM strand is full of science. Science is the pursuit of knowledge and comprehension of the universe, following a systematic methodology based on evidence.

Ex: Newton’s laws were fruitful for science.

2. Mathematics

The second word is mathematics. Mathematics is always around us, especially in the STEM strand. If there is science, there is math. Mathematics is the study of topics such as quantity (numbers), structure, space, and change.

Ex: The study of mathematics confirmed the Pythagorean in this idea.

3. Passion

The third word is passion. I can't deny that STEM is one of the most challenging strand. Passion is what a STEM student must possess. Passion is a strong desire that can get you to do amazing things. It is an emotion to be acted upon.

Ex: You put out an amazing first album full of quirky lyrics, passion and hard guitar strumming.

4. Development

Development is the fourth thing that came to mind. Development is the behavior or process of coming into being, of producing and growing something new, or of becoming more sophisticated and better.

Ex: The plant’s development moved from a small seed to a blooming flower.

5. Process

The fifth word is process. As a STEM student process have a big impact on learning. Process is a series of steps and decisions involved in the way work is completed. We may not realize it, but processes are everywhere and in every aspect of our leisure and work.

Ex: During his math class, Cam’s teacher taught him a step-by-step process for completing each problem.

6. Research

The sixth word is research. Knowing that science is involved researching is not a stranger to the STEM strand. Research is defined as the creation of new knowledge or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way to generate new concepts, methodologies, and understandings.

Ex: The research project was only a partial success.

7. Creativity

The word creativity comes in the seventh place. Creativity play a crucial part in a STEM student. Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others.

Ex: My interest in creativity and originality might lead me to take pride in developing a more complicated theory.

8. Patience

The eight word is patience. When you get to any track not only STEM you need patience. Patience is the ability to wait, or to continue doing something despite difficulties, or to suffer without complaining or becoming annoyed.

Ex: Making small-scale models takes/requires a great deal of patience

9. Technology

The ninth word is technology. This is a study and knowledge of the practical, especially industrial, use of scientific discoveries.

Ex: Satellite technology offers the opportunity, as never before, for continuous television coverage of major international events.

10. Experiment

The last word is experiment. From its meaning and subjects, STEM involves a lot of experiments. The experiment is a test done to learn something or to discover if something works or is true.

Ex: Things would never change if people weren't prepared to experiment.

We just finished going through words that mostly used in STEM strand. I hope that STEM students feel connected to today's blog post, and for non-STEM students or incomming STEM students, I hope you have a more precise thought and glimpse of the said strand! Let's meet on the next blog. See you around! <3
